With a career spanning over 20 years, he has not only founded and directed multiple nonprofits in Southern California but has also become a driving force in advocating for essential human rights. Fueled by an unyielding belief that every individual should have access to fundamental necessities like housing, food, healthcare, education, and recreational spaces, Juan has devoted his life to effecting positive change.

Through his tireless efforts, he has worked to secure funding and increase awareness surrounding these vital issues. In addition to his impactful conservation work, Juan's reach extends to the realm of motivational speaking. He has shared his inspiring message on both national and international stages, captivating audiences at conferences, universities, colleges, and churches alike. As a current member of the Partnership Coordinating Committee for the California Natural Resources Agency, Juan continues to champion conservation efforts. His passion for the outdoors is evident through his organization of various excursions, offering diverse groups of people the opportunity to experience the wonders of America's national parks and wildlife. Rooted in San Jacinto, California, Juan draws strength and inspiration from his faith and his beautiful family, who stand as a cornerstone of his dedication and vision for a better world.

Pastor Martin Martinez

Lead Pastor at Cornerstone AG San Bernardino | Community Navigator at Hispanic Access Foundation.

Martin Martinez serves as the Lead Pastor of Cornerstone Assemblies of God, a diverse and multicultural church in San Bernardino, California. At Cornerstone, Martin focuses on youth mentorship, guiding young people to a relationship with Christ, and empowering them to lead better lives free from drugs and destructive influences. His mission is to create a safe space for youth to grow in their faith, mental health, identity, and resiliency, ultimately helping them become better individuals who positively impact their communities.

In addition to his pastoral role, Martin is a Community Navigator at the Hispanic Access Foundation, where he passionately connects Latino-led, Latino-serving, and tribal communities across the United States to transformative capacity-building programs. With nearly two decades of experience in advocacy and nonprofit leadership, Martin has made a profound impact in equitable public land access, environmental conservation, community outreach, and government affairs.

One of Martin’s notable achievements includes his involvement in a groundbreaking initiative that increased public land access for underserved Latino communities by 30% through the designation of the San Gabriel National Monument, Sand to Snow, Castle Mountains, and Coachella Valley Desert Monuments. His ability to foster trust and meaningful collaboration has also encouraged greater participation in environmental conservation projects among local faith groups.

Martin’s bilingual proficiency and cultural awareness allow him to bridge gaps and facilitate connections that advance the Hispanic Access Foundation’s mission. His work exemplifies a steadfast commitment to empowering communities and driving sustainable change for a more inclusive future.
