TheUnderworld Gatekeeper (冥界ガーディアンMeikai Gādian) is a miniboss inKid Icarus: Uprising. As its name suggests, this mechanical monster is the guardian of theUnderworld Castle, and is a very challenging foe as a result. The Underworld Gatekeeper attacks with multiple small lasers from the various turrets situated around its body, all of which must be destroyed to harm it. It cannot be actually killed, destroying the small turrets just stopsPit from dying and gives extra hearts. By the end, only one part is left, and it is covered by an impenetrable shell.Dark Pit then comes along and delivers a face kick to defeat it.

The Underworld Gatekeeper is a miniboss fought during the air battle ofMedusa's Final Battle.

Idol Description

A magical construct designed to defend the Underworld Castle. While the guardian has powerful defenses, Dark Pit easily brings the colossus down by delivering a kick to the concentration of artificial nerve endings on its side.
