Story[edit]

Kingdom Hearts II[edit]

Wight Knights were among the Heartless entities which menacedHalloween Town Square.Oogie Boogie later summoned several of the mummy-like Heartless atChristmas Town.

Design[edit]

The Wight Knight bears a strong resemblance to the mummy character fromThe Nightmare Before Christmas. Its grayish-blue skinned, almost skeletal figure is wrapped in patches of white gauze bandages; the head is completely covered in them, save for a gap that reveals a bright yellow eye in a shadowed face, and the Knight's "plume", a simple angular-spiraled antenna. Wight Knights also have a "ribcage" of six sharp barbs that surround their chest and Heartless emblem, large hands, and long barbed fingers and toes.

InKingdom Hearts Final Mix, Wight Knights have simple, straightforward recolors; gold replaces the white of the bandages, black is the new skin color, and the hands, fingers, and toes are re-tinted a reddish-brown.

The word "wight" means a ghost or a supernatural entity, referencing the Heartless's undead appearance. The term altogether is a play on "white knight", which is ironic considering its decrepit appearance.

Strategy[edit]

Kingdom Hearts[edit]

Wight Knights are fast and fairly strong, making them difficult to hit. A carefully timedGuard will block a Wight Knight's attack, leaving it stunned and open for attacks.

If timed correctly, Sora can earnTech Points for blocking the Wight Knight's attacks.^[3]^[4]^[5]

Kingdom Hearts II[edit]

Wight Knights normally wander around passively, occasionally using2-Stage Claw andSpin Leap; however, when damaged they become temporarily aggressive and will use these attacks several times in a row. It is recommended to swiftly finish off a damaged Wight Knight before it can begin attacking with combos, however if this fails then act defensively with blocks orReflect until it is open once more for attack.
