TheWhite Mushroom is anEmblem Heartless introduced inKingdom Hearts. It is one of the various MushroomHeartless in the series, and rewardsSora for demonstrating his magical skills.

Design[edit]

A White Mushroom has a spherical, pitch black head with two glowing yellow, beady eyes. It wears a round, red cap on its head that sports two black, angular spirals on its front. It also seems to wear an off-white smock that completely covers its legs and thin, fingerless arms. Its Heartless emblem is present on the front of this smock. Like other mushroom Heartless, the White Mushroom bears a resemblance to the mushrooms fromFantasia.

The White Mushroom's name references its light coloration, as well asmushrooms, which it resembles.

Strategy[edit]

Kingdom Hearts[edit]

The White Mushroom indicates the desired spell through charades, and each time Sora casts the correct spell, it will chime with joy and relinquishTech Points. If Sora gets all three charades correct, it will reward Sora with restorative Orbs andsynthesis materials related to the third spell's element, and if all three spells are the same, the White Mushroom will relinquish a rareArts item. However, if Sora attacks the White Mushroom, casts the wrong spell, or takes too long, it will run away.

if a White Mushroom falls from an edge after being attacked, it will not get angry, and will immediately disappear instead. Similarly, if a White Mushroom's request gets fulfilled and it falls from an edge, it will immediately indicate the next spell without showing its joy.

Locations[edit]

White Mushrooms are present on the field as soon as the area is entered, unlike other Heartless, indicating to the player their presence.

Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories[edit]

InKingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, White Mushrooms appear only inWhite Rooms, and will only perform the Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder charades, the same way as inKingdom Hearts. After casting the right spell three times, it will drop prizes and disappear. The first White Mushroom that is hit with three correct spells will drop aPremium Bonus. TheWarp sleight can be used to defeat the White Mushroom without having to cast specific magic, and can be used to easily obtain their Enemy Card.
