Water (水/ウォータ, Mizu/Wōta?) is an element that appears inKingdom Hearts 358/2 Days,Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance,Kingdom Hearts III, andKingdom Hearts Dark Road. The Water element is associated with theDamage Drain andSubmerge status effects.
In other games, attacks involving Water usually dealBlizzard-type damage, like Dumbo'sSplash or Demyx's attacks inKingdom Hearts II.
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days[edit]
InKingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, the Water element can only be used by enemies. It inflicts theDamage Drain status effect, which party members can resist.

Unlike in other games, Water Resistance does not reduce the damage from Water-type attacks, but lowers the chance of beingDamage Drained. Demyx has an innate resistance to Water, while some Ring Panels provide Water Resistance when equipped.

TheWater Boost ability raises the damage dealt with Water attacks by 10% for each Water Boost installed, up to a maximum of 3.

Both Spirit and Nightmare Dream Eaters can use these attacks. For Spirits, the available attacks depends on their currentdisposition. Nightmares have access to the same attacks as a Spirit with a Type I disposition.

Several pieces of armor provide Water Resistance when equipped. Equipping theWater Syphon ability allows the user to recover MP when taking Water-type damage.
