TheTatsu Blaze is aDream Eater that appears inKingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
Story[edit]
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance[edit]
Fed up with hearingRiku,Beat, andRhyme arguing, theSpellican summons Nightmare Tatsu Blazes to attack. Beat and Rhyme decide to fight them off while Riku chases down the Spellican.
Later on, the Spellican summons more Tatsu Blazes to attackSora,Neku, andShiki. Sora tells Neku and Shiki to get somewhere safe while he fends them off.
The Spellican summons one final swarm of Tatsu Blazes in order to lureJoshua and the others away from Sora while he deals with the bosses it summons.
Design[edit]
The Tatsu Blaze is a palette swap of theTatsu Steed, based on aleafy seadragon, a type of sea horse-like animal known for its long seaweed-like body parts. This is referenced in the fact that the Tatsu Blaze, unlike the Tatsu Steed, has longer fins and such.
Spirit[edit]
It also places emphasis on its fire-based abilities by the Spirit's red fins and body, which can be changed usingPaint Guns. The body, which is separated from the head by a blue line, is a neon green, which transitions to orange and red for the tail. The spikes seen on the Tatsu Steed's tail seem to be more frill-like in appearance on the Tatsu Blaze and are yellow with orange tips. The curved fins on its head, which more resemble horns, also follow this color pattern. The fins' tips and central spots are ivory, with the former transitioning to purple. The Spirit Dream Eater symbol is located on its chest, just above four more frills.
Nightmare[edit]
The Nightmare version sports purple heads and fins, with the tips transitioning from lime green to cyan. A bit more green can be located on the part of it that separates the head from the body. The body is a dark blue that gets darker as it leads into the tail. The frills on the tail are magenta with cream-colored tips. Four more are located just below the Nightmare Dream Eater symbol.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance[edit]
TheTatsu Blaze Recipe can be purchased from theMoogle Shop for 100 munny (80 munny duringBargain Flurry) after reaching Shop LV 4. The Tatsu Blaze can be created through five different recipes.
