TheShimmer is a set ofLances that can be wielded byXaldin inKingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It can be upgraded to theShimmer+.

Design[edit]

A Shimmer lance's shaft is silver in the center and indigo on the ends, with the two colors separated by small, khaki-colored rings. The lower blade is a dark cross-shape similar to the top half of the Nobody symbol. It also sports a purple, curved blade on the lower half of the cross, with short, lilac spikes lining it. The upper blade is dark at its base and khaki-colored at the top, and forks into a "Y" shape. Two large, violet, semi-circular side blades connect to the two points of the main blade, and each one is lined by four lilac spikes of varying length; they somewhat resemble the berserk form of theLunatic.

The Japanese name of the weapon,Shiden, literally means "violet lightning", but idiomatically refers to light reflecting off a blade.

Gameplay[edit]

Shimmer's normal ground combo starts with a sideways slash using one lance, followed by a downward diagonal slash using the other lance, and ends with a thrust of all six lances forwards at once. TheY combo can be activated after the second attack, and consists of Xaldin swinging his lances from the same starting point upward to two far points in a "V" formation, followed by a leap and a downward diagonal slash with one lance. The combo then ends with a thrust of all six lances forwards at once in a pointed, star-like shape.

The aerial combo consists of two downward diagonal slashes using one lance, followed by a thrust of all six lances forwards at once in a pointed, star-like shape.
