Reversal (スライドターン, Suraido Tān?, lit. "Slide Turn") is a technique introduced inKingdom Hearts II. It allows the user to quickly slide behind an enemy.
Mechanics[edit]
InKingdom Hearts II, Reversal is aReaction Command that allows the user to slide behind specific enemies. When successfully executed againstDusks, it confuses any nearby Dusks and Creepers, giving the user an opportunity to attack. When used against bosses, Reversal instead allows the user to evade projectiles like the Twilight Thorn's andXemnas's Thorn Beam attack, as well as Twilight Thorn's Ultimate Beam attack. InKingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Reversal can be used to avoid damage duringRoxas's Recapture Attack, or against Mushroom No.1 when it slides around Sora.
InKingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Reversal is amovement command exclusive toVentus that has a maximum level of 1. By pressing
just before a targeted enemy strikes, Ventus slides behind the enemy. Equipping Reversal allows Ventus to equip the reprisal commandReversal Slash.
InKingdom Hearts III Re Mind, Reversal is aSituation Command exclusive toRoxas and can be used when close to an enemy to slide behind them in slow motion. Attacking at the end of the slide causes Roxas to perform a powerful swinging attack similar to his Whirlwind Swing attack fromKingdom Hearts II Final Mix.

- Roxas can use Reversal as a Reaction Command against theTwilight Thorn.

- Sora can use Reversal as a Reaction Command againstXemnas (Final Form)'s and Xemnas's Replica Data's[KH II FM] Thorn Beams.

- Ventus obtains Reversal after rescuingIenzo from a horde of Unversed inRadiant Garden.
- Ventus can purchase Reversal from theMoogle Shop for 600 munny after obtaining it elsewhere.

- Roxas can use Reversal as aSituation Command in the battle againstSaïx andXemnas.
