ThePretender is anEmblem Heartless that appears inKingdom Hearts χ. It was first introduced during the Treasure Chest event in 2015.
Design[edit]
The Pretender resembles ajack-in-the-box, with its primary body resembling a jester. It is adorned with a maroon hooded costume with long white-striped horns on the hood, ending in curls. The hood obscures its face, with only its large yellow eyes visible. The only visible natural parts of its body are its large clawed hands. The Heartless insignia appears on the side of its hood. When at rest, it hides within a seemingly-ordinary small redTreasure Chest, with its body connected to the chest via long bellows.
Its name refers to the fact that it pretends to be a Treasure Chest.
