Summary[edit]

A giant Heartless has surfaced in Halloween Town. Xigbar is already in the field; rendezvous with him and eliminate the target.

Story summary[edit]

Roxas must meet up with Xigbar so they can eliminate a dangerous Heartless.

Mission walkthrough[edit]

Hover Ghosts andIcy Cubes trap Roxas in the town square area. Defeat them with the help ofThunder andFire spells respectively, then meet Xigbar in the Graveyard. He partners up at this point to make the rest of this mission easier.

Fight through the Boneyards and Moonlight Hill to the Suspension Bridge area. Use Fire spells to clear away the Icy Cubes andSnowy Crystals to make room for the boss.

Challenge Mission[edit]

This mission is better handled with using Magic so equip a Keyblade likeCrown of Guilt++ equipped with Magic Units. As long as you do this and your level is high enough, Fire alone should be the answer, especially if it can take out the regular enemies in one hit with it if you advance it to LV. 5 (though you could also pack plenty of Thundaga for dealing with the Hover Ghosts). Also make sure to have a lot of casts (along with a couple of Cure or Curas) and bring some Elixirs to restore your casts. Aside from the Suspended Bridge where your target, Chilled Ripper is, Halloween Town Square and Moonlight Hill are the only other places where you are required to defeat your enemies there before progressing. As such, ignore the enemies not related to these three places to help save time. Also try fighting Icy Cube and Snowy Crystal at a distance to avoid the risk of getting frozen, as this status condition can be a potential hindrance to handling this mission successfully if Roxas keeps getting frozen with it as he must return to Halloween Town Entrance after defeating Chill Ripper to finish the mission. When handling Chill Ripper, if you can knock it down by using Block skillfully when it uses its charge attack, it will allow Fire to do more damage and contribute to getting all 3 Challenge Sigils successfully. Though not that difficult to complete successfully, be prepared to repeat this challenge if you take too long to complete it.
