Landing Punches
As you press
and land punches on the gorilla, your gauge will fill up to100, at which point you can throw a knockout punch.
Guarding
The gorilla's punches fill his gauge to 100, too.
To put up your guard and minimize the damage, all you have to do isstop attacking.
Countering K.O. Punches
If the gorilla's gauge reaches 100,press right before he attacks to stop his knockout punch!
Mechanics[edit]
The objective of this mini-game is to defeat the gorilla. The Mechanical Man will punch when pressing the "ACTION" button, and defend when the button is not pressed.
Each punch that lands fills the gauge at the top of the screen. When it hits 100, the fighter can unleash a knockout punch that defeats the opponent. When the gorilla unleashes its knockout punch, the Mechanical Man can counter it by punching right before the attack.
Occassionally, the gorilla will perform 5 quick punches in succession, but will be tired afterward.
When the Mechanical Man knocks out the gorilla, the score increases by 1. When the gorilla knocks out the Mechanical Man, Sora's lives decrease by 1. Once all lives are gone, the game ends.

Mickey's Mechanical Man is based on theMickey Mouse short of the same name from 1933. In the short, Mickey builds a Mechanical Man to fight "Kongo the Killer", a gorilla, in a boxing match.
