TheMetal Chocobo is aKeychain forSora's Keyblade and aKeyblade that can be wielded byData-Sora which appears inKingdom Hearts,Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, andKingdom Hearts Re:coded.

Design[edit]

The blade resembles Cloud's metalBuster Sword, and the Keychain's token is aChocobo. It possesses a red handle and guard. At the base of the blade, there are two holes, one on top of the other, and there are three holes adjacent to the teeth.

The Metal Chocobo's name is directly derived from the Chocobo, a recurring creature in theFinal Fantasy series. InKingdom Hearts Re:coded, the names of its upgrades in the Japanese version are derived from the various forms ofBahamut in theCompilation of Final Fantasy VII:Neo Bahamut,Bahamut Fury,Bahamut SIN, andBahamut ZERO. The names of its upgrades in the English version play on the "Metal" portion of the name:Iron (Fe),Silver (Ag),Gold (Au), andPlatinum (Pt).
