ThePets areDream Eater Spirits that appear inKingdom Hearts Union χ. WhilePlayer's own Pet can be assembled from various Spirit Parts into all sorts of hybrid designs, the assorted Parts of a specific "species" of Pet are usually made available at the same time.
Story[edit]
Kingdom Hearts χ[edit]
Following the events of theKeyblade War, the newUnion leaders,Ephemer,Skuld,Ventus,Brain, andLauriam, decide to celebrate by providing new Spirits for theDandelions. Ephemer goes with Skuld and Ventus to collect the necessary ingredients, while Brain and Lauriam stay behind in order to prepare.Quest 735: The Shiny Hammer Pt. 5 Soon after, aChirithy approachesPlayer and, using some of Player's Chirithy's fur, creates a "pet" for them.
Gameplay[edit]
Pets are unlocked after completingQuest 14: The Mine Pt. 2. Having a pet unlocks an extra 6thMedal slot to use in battle, which has a unique multiplier based on the pet's rank. A pet's rank can be increased up to a maximum rank of 17 by equipping the pet with up to six Medals. Each Medal equipped to a pet is worth a certain number of points towards the pet's next rank, determined by the Medal'sSpecial Attack Bonus Level and if it is assigned a trait.
Tricks[edit]
Tricks (特技, Tokugi?) are special abilities that the pet might activate in battle under certain conditions. The number of Tricks a pet can use increases as their rank increases.

Spirit Training[edit]
Spirit Training (スピリット訓練, Supiritto Kunren?) is a system that uses pets to add uniqueSpecial Traits to Medals. There are up to four slots available for Spirit Training, each of which can apply a random Spirit Trait to a Medal once every 20 hours. One Spirit Training slot is unlocked by default once pets are unlocked, while the other three are unlocked for limited times upon making certain purchases from the Shop.

Kitstar[edit]
TheKitstar (ネコスター, Nekosutā?) is a Pet based on adomestic long-haired cat that comes in Blue, Pink, and Rainbow varieties. The Blue and Pink varieties were available as part of the default options in the Pet System. Kitstars have a plethora of stars decorating their bodies, including a large star on their forehead, small stars scattered throughout its mane, and four stars toward the base of its tail. Additionally, Kitstars have white fur covering their muzzles, the lower halves of their legs, and the tips of their ears. The Rainbow variant has a shiny star with circles at the points on its forehead and color gradations to its collar and tail.

Pupstar[edit]
ThePupstar (イヌスター, Inusutā?) is a Pet based on adog[which?] that comes in Blue, Pink, and Rainbow varieties. The Blue and Pink varieties were available as part of the default options in the Pet System. Pupstars have a plethora of stars decorating their bodies, including a large star on their forehead, small stars scattered throughout its mane, two larger stars situated within its tail, and a falling star at the out edge of its tail. The Rainbow variant has a shiny star on its forehead and color gradations to its collar and tail.

Bunstar[edit]
TheBunstar (ウサスター, Usasutā?) is a Pet based on arabbit that comes in Blue, Pink, and Rainbow varieties. Bunstars have a plethora of stars decorating their bodies, including a large star on their forehead, small stars scattered throughout its mane, tail, and the tufts of its ears. Additional white fur is formed around the Dream Eater's ankles and cheeks, covering its muzzle. The Rainbow variant has a shiny star on its forehead and color gradations to its collar, tail, and ear tufts.

Pigstar[edit]
ThePigstar (ブースター, Būsutā?) is a Pet based on apig that comes in Purple, Yellow, and Black varieties. Pigstars have a plethora of stars decorating their bodies, including a large star on their forehead, small multi-colored stars scattered across its back, and a large star at the end of its tail. The Black variant has a shiny star on its forehead, golden stars on its rump, and a larger star on its tail.

Reinstar[edit]
TheReinstar (トナスター, Tonasutā?) is a Pet based on areindeer that comes in Blue, Green, and Gold varieties. Reinstars have a plethora of stars decorating their bodies, including small stars scattered throughout its mane, antlers, and two small stars situated within its irises. They have red noses, and white fur covers the their muzzle, cheeks, ears, and lower legs. The Gold variant has a shiny star on its forehead, and beaded garlands with Christmas ornaments around its antlers and collar.

Pupmoon[edit]
ThePupmoon (イヌムーン, Inumūn?) is a Pet based on aShiba Inu that comes in Orange, Blue and Black varieties. Pupmoons have a yellow crescent moon on their foreheads. There are also three stars of various shapes placed about their body: a small star towards the center of their body, a medium-sized star directly above the smaller star, and a larger star on their left ear. The fur on their tail, paws, chest, and underbelly are white.

TheHamstar (ハムスター, Hamusutā?) is a Pet based on ahamster that comes in a Pink, Purple, and Chocolate variety. The Chocolate variety was available in Japan alongside the Heart Sunglasses as part of February 2018's Limited Missions. Hamstars have a plethora of stars decorating their bodies, including a large star on their forehead, small stars scattered throughout its mane, as well as decorating its chest and back.

Monstar[edit]
TheMonstar (モンスター, Monsutā?) is a Pet based on amonkey that comes in a Pink, Green and Rainbow variety. The Pink variety was available in Japan alongside the Rose Flower Petals as part of March 2018's Limited Missions. Monstars are covered in fur from head to toe, save for their faces, underbelly, and paws, with thicker, fluffier fur making up their mane and the tip of their tail. This fur is decorated with a plethora of stars, alongside a large star on their forehead.

Lambstar[edit]
TheLambstar (ラムスター, Ramusutā?) is a Pet based on alamb that comes in a Black, Grey, and Green variety. The Grey variety was available alongside the Sleep Mask as part of April 2018's Limited Missions. Lambstars are covered in thick wool from head to toe, save for their faces and the base of their tails, which are black. Their wool is shaved into a rounded style on both the Lambstars' head and tail, and their backs are decorated with small stars that compliment the larger star on the Lambstars' foreheads.

Foxstar[edit]
TheFoxstar (フォックスター, Fokkusutā?) is a Pet based on afox that comes in a Red and Green variety. The Red variety was available alongside the Red Sunglasses as part of May 2018's Limited Missions. Foxstars have a white underbelly, lower half of their face, and the tips of their tails, and the tips of their ears and feet are a darker shade of their respective fur color. They have long faces with small noses and thin eyes, two forward-facing ears on top of their head, and their backs are decorated with three small stars that compliment the larger star on the Foxstars' foreheads.

Tortoistars have a white underbelly, small black eyes, and a beaked mouth.

Flowerkit[edit]
TheFlowerkit (ネコフラワー, Nekofurawā?) is a Pet based on adomestic short-haired cat that comes in Black, Purple, and Spooky varieties. The Black variety was available as part of October 2018's Limited Missions. The Black and Purple variants have tiny stars along their back, as well as a large flower adorning their foreheads, for which they earn their namesake. The Spooky variant has a gold flower on its forehead and gold stars on its ears. The body of this variant has skeletal bone features, and the head has skull-like details.

TheSnowpup (イヌスノー, Inusunō?) is a Pet based on ahusky that comes in Purple, Orange, and Silver varieties. Snowpups have a large snowflake on their foreheads and several small stars on their backs. The fur on their tail, paws, chest, and underbelly are white. The Silver variant also has a plethora of smaller stars and snowflakes in their tail.

Cubstar[edit]
TheCubstar (クマスター, Kumasutā?) is a Pet based on abear that comes in a White, a Brown, and a Black variety. Cubstars have a large Star on their foreheads, with two smaller stars in their ears. Around their necks is a collar of interchanging colored triangles, each pointed with a small star of either brown, beige, or gold, with several smaller stars on their tails.

Coonstar[edit]
TheCoonstar (タヌスター, Tanusutā?) is a Pet based on atanuki that comes in a Yellow variety. Coonstars have a large star on their foreheads with additional smaller pink and green stars in their manes. They are predominantly yellow with brown fur tipping their tails, around their eyes and snout, and covering their ears, chest, front legs and lower back legs, and white fur in on their snout, mane, and inside their ears.

Lionstar[edit]
TheLionstar (レオスター, Reosutā?) is a Pet based on alion that comes in a Red and a Yellow variety. Their manes and the tips of their tails are dark brown or red in color, while their paws, muzzles, and eyelids are a lighter shade of their respective fur color. Lionstars earn their namesake from the large stars which adorn their upper leg, interior ear, tail, and middle forehead.

Bunmoon[edit]
TheBunmoon (ウサムーン, Usamūn?) is a Pet based on arabbit that comes in a Purple variety. The Bunmoon has large floppy ears, large yellow eyes, and a fluffy tail with matching mane around its neck. While predominantly purple, the Bunmoon has white fur covering the lower half of its face, underbelly, and feet. Furthermore, while the Bunmoon earns its namesake from the moon in the middle of their foreheads, it also has stars adorning its manes and situated above each of its feet on the front of each leg. Its overall design may be a reference to the Japanese legend of themoon rabbit.

Wolfstar[edit]
TheWolfstar (ウルスター, Urusutā?) is a Pet based on awolf that comes in a Blue and a Pink variety. The Wolfstars have thick messy fur based on their selected color variation, though their faces, manes, the tips of their tails, underbellies, and paws are white, and the fur on the Wolfstars' ears, muzzle, and at the beginning of their tails is noticeably darker than that on the rest of their bodies. The Blue Wolfstar possesses large circular yellow eyes, while the Pink Wolfstar's eyes are blue. As with many other pets, the Wolfstar all have a large golden star adorning their foreheads, for which they earn their namesake.

Alpacastar[edit]
TheAlpacastar (アルパカスター, Arupakasutā?) is a Pet based on analpaca that comes in a Green, Black, and White variety. The Alpacastar has longer legs than most Pets, and possesses a longer neck akin to that of the Giraffestar. Thick curly fur covers the majority of its body, save for its small pointed ears, its face, large eyelashes, its muzzle, and its hooves. As with many of the Pets, the Alpacastar is characterized by the large golden star on its forehead, as well as the smaller stars found in its fur along its hips.

Hedgestar[edit]
TheHedgestar (ハリネスター, Harinesutā?) is a Pet based on ahedgehog that comes in a White, Purple, and Grey variety. The Hedgestars appear to have spines based on their selected colour variation, except for the White Hedgestar - which has yellow needles - while their underbellies and faces are covered in a lighter shade and their muzzles and paws are also not covered in fur. True to their namesake, the Hedgestars possess large golden stars on their foreheads, while smaller stars appear among the needles on their back. Curiously enough, the White Hedgestar's design may suggest it has albinism, given its difference in color pattern and small red eyes.

Mummystar[edit]
TheMummystar (マミスター, Mamisutā?) are Pets based on amummy that comes in a White and Brown variety. The White Mummystar appears to be inspired by a dog, bearing slight resemblance to the Black Pupmoon in form, but is entirely black underneath its white bandages and seems to lack a tail. The Brown Mummystar, on the other hand, appears to be inspired by a cat, bearing the most resemblance to the Flowerkit, albeit without a tail or ears. Interestingly enough, while both varieties of the Mummystar share the naming convention of many of other iterations of Pet, they do not have visible stars on their foreheads or body, perhaps suggesting that they are beneath the bandages.

Squirrelstar[edit]
TheSquirrelstar (リススター, Risusutā?) is a Pet based on asquirrel that comes in a Red, Yellow, and Green variety. All varieties have a white face, mane, underbelly, and paws. Additionally, the Squirrelstar possesses a small nose, circular eyes, and buck teeth characteristic of its inspired animal. As with many Pets, the Squirrelstar also possesses a large golden star in the middle of its forehead, for which it earns its namesake.

Gingerbread[edit]
TheGingerbread (ジンジャーブレッド, Jinjābureddo?) are Pets based on agingerbread man, coming in a Dog and Cat variety. Both varieties are composed of very basic gingerbread shapes outlined with white icing, with the tail, ears, and paws being tipped with icing, as well as having a squiggle drawn onto the forehead of the Gingerbread Dog, while - concerning the Gingerbread Cat - this is only true of its tail. Furthermore, the Gingerbread Cat also has the interior of its ears colored with Pink icing, which matches its collar. Conversely, the Gingerbread Dog possesses a Blue collar.
