Kingdom Hearts Union χ[edit]

After the Keyblade War is over, Lauriam searches for Strelitzia, but is unable to find her, and goes to meet with the other new Union leaders,Ephemer,Skuld,Ventus, andBrain, at theKeyblade Graveyard, where he is the last to arrive. Together, the Union leaders decide not to tell the other Keyblade wielders about Keyblade War, usingSpirits to erase the war from their nightmares, and to keep the Unions together for the time being.

Lauriam finds Ephemer ruminating about Shift Pride, a competition between the Dandelions which the rulebook instructs them to set up. Lauriam explains to Ephemer that he is searching for someone, and suspects he would find her data in the data backups, which inspires Ephemer to have the Dandelions compete with data versions rather than fight each other. The other Union leaders meet to discuss Shift Pride, but Lauriam skips the meeting to continue his search and tells Brain that his vote is with Ephemer.

Lauriam asks Elrena about Strelitzia.

Lauriam seeks outElrena, as Strelitzia had mentioned being in the same party with her before. Elrena asks herChirithy, who reveals that Strelitzia was last seen looking for someone in order to induct them into the Dandelions, and remembers seeing Skuld with someone. Lauriam leaves to ask Skuld, and reveals to the Union leaders that the person he's looking for is his sister. Although Skuld is unable to help, the discussion leads Ephemer to suspect that Player is the person Strelitzia was looking for. Ephemer introduces Lauriam to Player, but Player is also unable to help as they never met Strelitzia.

Lauriam reconvenes with Elrena, who explains that she and her Chirithy investigated the building where Strelitzia was last seen and saw a glitch that resembled her. Lauriam enters the building and calls out to Strelitzia, but nothing happens. Elrena explains that she also failed to reproduce the glitch, but her Chirithy recalls that Strelitzia had been hoping to save Player from the Keyblade War. Lauriam surmises that Strelitzia was convinced the Keyblade War was going to happen, something which most Dandelions, including Elrena, are not aware of.

Lauriam returns to the Clock Tower and meets with the other Union leaders. Brain explains that a new world,Game Central Station, has appeared and seems to be causing the glitches. Brain concludes that rather than being in the real Daybreak Town, they are trapped in a data recreation of Daybreak Town. Brain resolves to figure out a way to escape back to the real world. Lauriam fills Brain in on his search for Strelitzia and information he's found, and Brain promises to think on it.

Lauriam sees a mysterious figure in his dream.

Lauriam later discoversMaleficent in the Clock Tower basement attempting to use alifeboat to leave the data world. He engages her in battle, but is defeated, and one of the lifeboats is destroyed in the process. After being knocked unconscious, Lauriam dreams of Strelitzia and recalls the memory of Strelitzia asking to team up with him. In the dream, however, after Strelitzia promises that she will grow strong enough, she suddenly disappears. A white-robed figure which resembles Strelitzia appears before Lauriam and floats into the air before he wakes up.

Lauriam makes his way back to the other Union leaders and overhears them talking about Strelitzia. He demands Brain tell him what he knows and lashes out at Ephemer when he tries to interfere. Ventus arrives and admits that what happened to Strelitzia was his fault. Lauriam again demands answers and attempts to strike Ventus with his Keyblade, but is blocked by Ephemer. The conflict is interrupted as Ventus collapses andDarkness emerges from him. Lauriam asks Darkness why it killed Strelitzia, to which Darkness answers that it was to fulfill Ventus's desire for power and that it could have killed any of the Union leaders, not just Strelitzia. Enraged, Lauriam attacks Darkness, but is easily knocked unconscious.

Lauriam hears Strelitzia's voice.

After waking up, Lauriam accepts that it was Darkness that killed Strelitzia, not Ventus, and joins the fight alongside the others. However, as Darkness is formless, they are unable to defeat it. Ventus wakes up, now possessing a heart of purelight, and says that he will reshape Darkness into a form that can be defeated. Lauriam tries to stop Ventus as he doesn't want to lose him, but Ventus disregards him and confronts Darkness, absorbing it and subsequently falling unconscious again.

After the battle, Lauriam apologizes to an unconscious Ventus. As he wonders if Darkness is truly gone or if it is now part of Ventus, a vision of Strelitzia tells him that he needs to let go of his anger and hatred. Elrena then arrives at the tower to tell Lauriam her Chirithy saw someone that looked like Strelitzia heading toward town alongside someone in ablack coat, which gives Lauriam hope it may still be possible to bring Strelitzia back.

The group goes to the basement, with Lauriam carrying the unconscious Ventus. Upon reaching the basement, they discover that there are only five working lifeboats remaining. As they discuss who should return to the real world first, the data world begins to deteriorate. Skuld urges Lauriam to return to the real world as he'll have a better chance of finding answers about Strelitzia there. Lauriam, Brain, Ventus, and Elrena end up taking the lifeboats, and upon arriving, Brain directs Lauriam and Elrena to each take a lifeboat alongside Ventus and escape the collapsing Daybreak Town. Brain and Lauriam say their goodbyes, and, as the lifeboats are launched, a strong tremor shakes the tower, and Lauriam calls out for Brain in alarm before his lifeboat disappears.

At an unknown point in the future, Lauriam wakes up inDwarf Woodlands.

At some point, Lauriam is discovered byXigbar and recruited intoOrganization XIII as aNobody with the name Marluxia.[1]

Design[edit]

Lauriam has choppy, shoulder-length rose-pink hair and blue eyes. He wears a white button-up shirt with a large collar and cuffs, with several of the top buttons left undone. He also wears a black tailcoat with tattered ends and gold buttons, dark pink pants, and black lace-up heeled boots.

Lauriam's tattered tailcoat is similar to the tattered black cape of theSpecter machine used by Marluxia. His outfit also shares its color palette.

Personality[edit]

Lauriam possesses a polite and reserved disposition. He is shown to be playful and encouraging towards his sister. Underneath, when provoked, he is shown to have a fierce temper as shown when he demands for the others to give him answers to what happened to his sister. He also tends to jump to conclusions, believing his comrades had something to do with Strelitzia's disappearance even though they were innocent. He was so desperate for answers that he was willing to use force to get them, as he nearly struck Ventus with his Keyblade and was willing to fight Ephemer to get the answers he sought.

After being told the truth, he becomes very remorseful about his actions towards Ventus.

Abilities[edit]

Main article:Divine Rose

Lauriam wields the third form of the Divine Rose Keyblade. According to Strelitzia, he is far superior in strength compared to her.
