Design[edit]
Launchpad is a muscular, anthropomorphic drake. He has red hair and wears a green baseball cap, a leather jacket with a fur-lined collar, a green undershirt, and white slacks.
Origin[edit]
Launchpad originates from Disney's television seriesDuckTales andits 2017 reboot as Scrooge's personal pilot (as well as his general chauffeur in the reboot). He has a tendency of crashing anything he commandeers, although he takes pride in said crashes and sees them as achievements. Launchpad transports and often accompanies Scrooge and his group across their many adventures via the Sunchaser, a tan bi-plane (a red cargo plane owned by Scrooge in the reboot), among other vehicles. He also appeared inDarkwing Duck as Darkwing Duck's sidekick; in theDuckTales reboot, this is recontextualized as Launchpad being a big fan of theDarkwing Duck TV series that exists within the show itself.
Launchpad is voiced byTerry McGovern in the originalDuckTales series andDarkwing Duck, and byBeck Bennett in theDuckTales reboot.
