Illusion is a material type inKingdom Hearts II Final Mix. Illusion materials come in two variants, theManifest Illusion (現れた幻影, Arawareta Gen'ei?, lit. "Materialized Illusion") and theLost Illusion (失われた幻影, Ushinawareta Gen'ei?).
Design[edit]
Illusion materials are colored cyan and purple. A Manifest Illusion resembles two diamonds with concave edges stacked on top of each other. The lower diamond is slightly larger and has two spikes jutting from both of its upper sides. Two large, wing-like additives connected to the lower diamond's side corners. Both of these additives are angular and sport three "feathers". A Lost Illusion resembles two diamonds with concave edges stacked on top of each other. The lower diamond is slightly larger and has two spikes jutting from both of its upper sides. Two large, wing-like additives connected to the lower diamond's side corners. Both of these additives sport three "feathers", the topmost of which is twice as long as the others and has a pointed end, as opposed to the flat tips of the others. The base of the lower diamond is lined by four thin, conical spikes.
The material's name may refer to the nature of theAbsent Silhouettes andLingering Will, from which they are obtained. "Lost Illusion" may refer to the members ofOrganization XIII that were "lost" inCastle Oblivion. "Manifest Illusion" and "Materialized Illusion" may refer toTerra's thoughts manifesting in hisKeyblade Armor as the Lingering Will.
