Dumbo's power was channeled by theBook of Prophecies to create the Dumbo medals.
Kingdom Hearts[edit]
Dumbo is born in a circus, where he is laughed at by the other elephants for his abnormally large ears. He eventually becomes the star of the circus after he learned to fly.
Dumbo survives the destruction of his homeworld, but only as theWatergleam Gem, which wound up in Monstro where it is found by Sora. Sora takes the gem to theFairy Godmother inTraverse Town, and she activates the gem to allow Dumbo to assist Sora as a summon. After the Keyblade wielder seals Kingdom Hearts, Dumbo returns to his home world.
Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories[edit]
Sora gains the ability to summon a memory-based version of Dumbo to assist him insideCastle Oblivion.

When summoned, Dumbo hovers in midair withSora riding on his back. The two are invulnerable to harm until Dumbo is dismissed or runs out ofMP. Dumbo blasts a jet of water from his trunk at the enemies, drenching them, pushing them backwards or defeating them. Dumbo can also ascend and descend in flight. Dumbo is a useful Summon and is best used when surrounded byHeartless.
When Sora summons Dumbo inNeverland, Dumbo is able to fly freely in the air instead of just hovering around. Sora shrinks to a smaller size to ride Dumbo during this summon.

Dumbo appears as asummon card for Sora. When his card is used, Dumbo appears in battle and douses enemies to dealice damage. Stocking multiple Dumbo cards create theSplash Lv2 andSplash Lv3 sleights, which increase the effectiveness of the attack and allows the player to control its aim.

Origin[edit]
Dumbo is the main protagonist of the 1941 Disney animated film of the same name.
In the film, Dumbo is originally named "Jumbo Jr." by his mother, Mrs. Jumbo, but ridiculed by everyone for his abnormally big ears. After his mother is locked away after attacking some boys who were bullying her son, Dumbo is befriended by Timothy Mouse, who becomes determined to make Dumbo happy again after the other elephants abandon him. With Timothy's help, Dumbo eventually discovers his ability to fly with his ears and becomes a superstar at the circus. He is reunited with his mother at the end.
