Dark Barrier (ダークバリア, Dāku Baria^?) is a technique that appears inKingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. It allows the user to block attacks from any direction.

Mechanics[edit]

InKingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Dark Barrier is adefense command exclusive toRiku that can equipped in the place of aBlock-type command, which can overlap with aDodge Roll-type command. It generates a spherical barrier around the user when the player presses. It is the only defense command that may be used in midair, causing Riku to briefly hover while the barrier is active, and overlapping withAir Slide. Dark Barrier grants +3 toDefense and +30 toDark Resistance when attached to aDream Eater recipe. The barrier's blocking duration is extended whenever any attacks come into contact in succession. The game also locks-on to the target who landed the attack.

• Sora and Riku can purchase Dark Barrier from theMajik LapinAbility Link for 10 Link Points.
• Sora and Riku can purchase Dark Barrier from theMe Me Bunny Ability Link for 10 Link Points.
• Sora and Riku can purchase Dark Barrier from theMedal Shop for 750 medals after reaching Shop Level 8.
