TheCrimson Prankster is anEmblem Heartless that is found inKingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It is one of the bosses atWonderland. The Crimson Prankster is able to split itself into two identical bodies, as well as to merge and re-split in order to revive a fallen body.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days[edit]
Roxas is assigned a mission to Wonderland in order to exterminate a mysteriousHeartless. Upon arrival, he drinks the medicine on the table of the Bizarre Room and shrinks as a result. The Crimson Prankster then appears out of the shadows, prompting Roxas to defeat it.

| In themanga adaptation, just as theCard Soldiers prepare to execute Roxas with a guillotine, a Crimson Prankster appears and attacks the castle, allowing Roxas to untie himself. Shortly into their fight, a second Crimson Prankster appears, cornering Roxas. Roxas is saved by a now giantLuxord, a result of eating a mushroom. Luxord picks the Heartless up with ease and brings it to Roxas, who delivers the final blow. |
Design[edit]
A Crimson Prankster is a bizarre Heartless with spindly legs resemblingscissor jacks, arms that appear and sound like they're made of paper, and a head that is made of several segments balanced of top of each other. Each of these segments sports its own face—though all of the faces have the same glowing yellow eyes and jagged mouths—and they alternate in color from pink to indigo. Its arms are black and it often juggles clubs with zig-zagging, black and yellow stripes on them. It wears pink armor with large, indigo shoulder pads, a black codpiece, and has a very thin and small indigo body. The upper halves of its legs are indigo, while their lower halves are pink. Its feet are black, flat, and curl at the tips. Its design is slightly similar to theKingdom Hearts Final Mix version of theTrickmaster. Despite appearing to be one of the largest Heartless Roxas fights, in reality it is roughly the size ofDonald Duck, due to the shrinking potion.
The latter part of the Crimson Prankster's name shows its mischievous and carefree nature. In reference to the Trickmaster, the word "prankster" is a synonym of trickster. This shows the similar nature and appearance between the Trickmaster and the Crimson Prankster. The former part of the Heartless's name could be derived from one possible romanization of its Japanese name, "Bleed Performer", crimson being the color of blood, or the Heartless's affinity for fire magic.
Strategy[edit]
Equip Blizzard magic and a Keyblade with high strength or longer combos, such as Valor Gear+ or Rage Gear+.
The Crimson Prankster begins the battle by copying itself in two. Both copies start with equal health, and must be destroyed simultaneously. If one copy dies before the other, the surviving copy copies itself again. The resulting copy has remaining health equal to the surviving copy's.
Dodge the Pranksters' attacks using Air Glide and Air Slide. The hole under the chimney is a safe point, and can be used to dodge attacks or safely use Cure magic.
The Crimson Prankster's hitbox is its head. Use the table in the middle of the room as a platform to Glide and attack. To avoid the copies reviving each other, reduce both copies to low health, then destroy both before the surviving copy copies itself.
