TheCarrier Ghost is anEmblem Heartless that is found inKingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It is one of the bosses inHalloween Town.
Design[edit]
A Carrier Ghost is a large, humanoid creature clad in a faded green coat with black cuffs. It wears white gloves on its large, long-fingered hands, which are not directly connected to the Heartless's body and can be "thrown" at enemies. A few holes in this coat expose the creature's ribcage. Its Heartless emblem is printed on the front of its coat. The Carrier Ghost's black, spherical head sports a jagged mouth and two yellow eyes with black spirals in them. Its right eye hangs down from its socket, attached to its head by a silver chain. It can generate spotlights from its eyes, suggesting that they may be mechanical in some fashion. The Carrier Ghost's lower body is a simple, white, ghostly tail.
The Carrier Ghost's name reflects its ability to lift its opponent and drain its life, as well as its resemblance to a stereotypical ghost.
Strategy[edit]
The Carrier Ghost will periodically teleport behindRoxas in an attempt to possess him. Avoid being hit with this attack by all means, as it will sap Roxas's HP at a very rapid pace. The attack can only connect if Roxas is stationary; keeping Roxas mobile and moving is essential. If the attack connects, repeatedly pressing
and
may release Roxas from its grip. Having an Auto-Life panel is advised due to the possess attack.
The Carrier Ghost also uses a claw attack at close range, which is easily avoidable through Dodge-Rolling.
If Roxas manages to get behind the Carrier Ghost before it sees him, he can continuously attack it without it even acknowledging his presence, allowing him to defeat it with little trouble.
