LAKE CITY, Ark. (KAIT) - The City of Lake City is offering help to victims of Wednesday night’s devastating tornado.
Casey Groves at the command center, located at Riverside High School, said the entire city is under a boil order until further notice.
As of 8:36 a.m. Thursday, the Arkansas Department of Helath issued a boil order for Lake City Waterworks due to a water line break.
At 11:46 a.m. the ADH issued another boil order for Lake City customers of the St. Francis Regional Water District.
Groves said the school’s cafeteria is open and providing food and bottled water to hungry residents.
Also, Ritter Communications has charging stations available at the command center for residents to power up their cell phones and electronic devices, along with free wifi.
Ritter said in a social media post Thursday that it was also providing free breakfast sandwiches, water, and fleece blankets.
