PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) - Tornadoes destroy not only homes but also people’s mental and physical health.

The Greene County Health Department and Families Inc. Counseling Services will offer free assistance to families and individuals affected byFriday night’s tornadoes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 20.

“During this time, our dedicated team members will be present in the community to provide support and resources,” the Greene County Office of Emergency Managementstated in a social media post.

A common area will also be set up in the Rotary Room of the Paragould Country Club to provide assistance.

According to the OEM’s office, the health department will provide free tetanus boosters and information on obtaining necessary paperwork, including birth certificates.

Counselors from Families, Inc. will also be available to offer guidance on coping with the mental effects of a natural disaster.

“We are here to support you,” the OEMstated in a social media post. “Please do not hesitate to reach out for assistance.”
