But with the recent release of the Puerto Rican star's latest record,Debí Tirar Más Fotos, the fans have been tapping intotheir sentimental sides—and this time, are getting their loved ones involved in the trends.

Following the release of the album, fans connected to the track "DtMF," which is taken from the album's name,Debí Tirar Más Fotos, and translates to "I should have taken more photos." Inspired by the song's message of savoring the moment and looking back on memories spent with friends, parents,and other loved ones, the song has gone viral andinspired Bad Bunny fans to post videos on TikTok set to "DtMF" with images and videos that are special to them—be it photos from their youth, their parents when they were young, and grandparents who are no longer alive and dearly missed.

Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, reflected on the significance of photos in his life, and how his feelings about it has changed since he's become famous and well known in an interview withThe New York Times.

"I remember back in time photos used to be something very special. Today you can take a picture of everything," he explained. "Maybe sometimes I don’t want a picture with someone for many reasons: Maybe I’m not in my best mood. Sometimes I feel that maybe this person is not a real fan. And also because maybe I got used to it and it’s not a special moment for me."

The 30-year-old continued, "But for them, maybe it is and the person wants to save that moment. So that’s the meaning of the title—you should appreciate more the moments and the people. It’s not an apology, it’s more like a reminder to myself."

The rapper also shared a TikTok of his own reacting to the trend. The clip, which is set to the song, captures Bunny nodding along to the music with tears in his eyes.

He simply captioned the post, "tik tok."

In apress release about the album, Bunny also explained that the album has allowed him to reconnect with his roots and Puerto Rican heritage. “I’ve been dreaming about this album for years, and seeing it come to life has brought me immense happiness,” he said. “I’ve always been honest with my followers, and through this new production, they’ll continue to learn more about me as I, too, discover more about myself. This album is the result of the experiences that have led me to get to know myself better, even getting to know the rhythms I enjoy most—the ones I truly enjoy singing and creating.”
