Glossary Term Sibling
Definition InMGI, this term refers to terms in ahierarchicalcontrolled vocabulary such as those containingGene Ontology (GO) terms. A "sibling" of a term is a term at the same level of thehierarchy sharing at least oneancestor. For example, the GO termalcohol dehydrogenase GO:0004022] is a sibling to the GO termaldehyde oxidase [GO:0004031]; they share theancestor termenzyme [GO:0003824].
