Glossary Term Incidental Mutations
Definition Some high-throughput mutagenesis projects, such as those that generate chemically induced mutations, may produce mutations in multiple sites in the genome. In MGI, incidental mutations are these types of mutations that have been detected via sequencing but have not yet been confirmed or studied.
