O'Sullivan sinks Cork
AN injury-time point from sub Liam O'Sullivan propelled Limerick into the semi-finals as they edged past Cork at Páirc Uí Chaoimh last night.
With 10 minutes remaining, the visitors looked set for a comfortable passage to the last four as they led 0-14 to 0-9, but a late response from Cork, underpinned by a goal from sub Anthony Spillane, had them level as the game reached the 60-minute mark.
When Ronan Lynch scored his 11th point of the night Limerick moved back ahead; then, after Dillon Cahill levelled again for Cork, O'Sullivan was on hand to convert from a tight angle in the 63rd minute for victory.
Overall, Limerick were the better side, even if they were heavily reliant on Lynch for scores. It was 0-8 apiece at half-time.
