This episode reunites Keith David and Roddy Piper and recreates one of the best showdowns in cinema! Besides that, it also presents great character development for CB!
Just when you thought the Finn love triangle couldn't get any worse, we come to an episode of Finn trying so hard to get back together with Flame Princess in the worst ways possible. I get he's still trying to recover from his breakup but there is a limit of believability and absurdness that Adventure Time can take. And this episode just broke it in a bad way.

If there's anything I did like about this episode, is that we got to see Cinnamon Bun again .
"The Red Throne" broke the character of Cinnamon Bun. He has never shown any of the qualities imaprted on him in this episode. Cinnamon Bun was never capable, he never possessed strategic thinking or bravery. He would never have been able to comprehend Finn's cringy behaviour or even his intentions towards Flame Princess. Has he changed in the time since his last appearence on the show? Perhaps, but that is quite a radical transformation. As a viewer, I can only conclude that Cinnamon Bun was used a plot device in this episode, since none of the process of him changing his personality was shown to us.
To be honest, Finn felt like a side character this episode. He looked awkward and was honestly completely irrelevant to the storyline. I don't at all mind a Cinnamon Bon and Flame Princess partnership, but I wish they would've given some closure to both Finn and Flame Princess as a relationship.

They never even needed Finn, he was actually more of a detriment than a hero this episode. Cinnamon Bon, however, was a real hero and got some time to shine. I really love the way they evolved his character from being goofy and nonchalant to being serious, prideful and someone with a purpose.

This wasn't a bad episode by any means, but it could've been done so much better. And Finn definitely didn't need to be in this, it could've just been CB and FP as the main characters.
