Great fun!
It takes a little bit of time to get into the style of animation, but it really is beautifully done. It's zany and woks well.
It is a little weird that the main character, Quinn, does not have an Australian accent, but once you accept that, you're in for a treat! Hadley Gannaway does such a great voice. 10/10. The other characters are also voiced well.
The story is fun. Nothing too surprising, but it allows Quinn and Taz to shine in their unique ways and both bring plenty to the story.
Loved it and can't wait to watch more of their story.
Different, but AWESOME!!!
Instead of taking a very Looney Tunes concept and stretching it to feature length, like many movies featuring SNL alumnus, (Wayne's World, Night at the Roxbury, Austin Powers), this is a movie first, that is sprinkled with Looney Tunes stuff.
It takes a while for Taz to find his mojo and do his whirlwind spin. There's also a bit where a character spouts a couple Looney Tunes catch phrases.
Taz merch blew up in the late 80s/early 90s and so Taz was given his own TV show, that feels a lot like other 90s TV shows. Taz was given a bunch of supporting characters, including two parents and siblings. None of them show up in this movie. Taz is mentioned to have parents, but he's estranged from them as they left. (But there's never really been canon with Looney Tunes.)
This movies is awesome and heartwarming. It's farther away from standard Looney Tunes than King Tweety, but I liked it more than King Tweety, which I also liked.
Cute, funny, entertaining
I love burgers.
Positives for Taz: Quest for Burger (2023):First off, the best thing about this movie is that Taz is voiced by the great Steve Blum (Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop) and without him, I would have lost interest in this movie very quickly. I like the plot where our main character has to team up with Taz and if they complete their mission, then Taz gets veggie burgers which made the movie more interesting. The animation looks good and I like that it's hand-drawn here. The movie is really short and fast-paced for the most part. And finally, there is a good bit of that slapstick humor in the movie.
Negatives for Taz: Quest for Burger (2023):The main character whose name I can't remember was very annoying at the beginning, but they did get better as the movie went along. Aside from the quest of burgers, there is barely a plot in the movie. The main villain was boring and forgettable. And finally, this movie feels like a short stretched out to movie length for no reason.
Overall, Taz: Quest for Burger (2023) is another inoffensive yet unremarkable Looney Tunes movie which isn't a bad thing, but it was disappointing.
