I think season 2 is definitely one of the best and I don't understand a lot of the hate , sure they are some slower episodes like "Cherokee Rose" but the character development was really good and it contains some of the best episodes in the entire series , at least 5 episodes from this season alone can be in a top 10 best episodes ever list, "What Lies ahead" was a really great premiere, "Pretty Much Dead Already" "18 Miles Out" "Judge Jury Executioner" "Better Angels" and the finale were all fantastic episodes
This was the best episode of the show. It was full of action and kept you on the end of your seat. It was the best intro the Michonne. For fans of the comics is was a little different but still so good and introduced a classic character. Loved it 10/10!
What a season finale for the second season of AMC's "The Walking Dead"
Plot In A Paragraph: The farm comes under attack from a group of walkers attracted by the sound of Carl firing his gun at the end of the last episode.
In an a superb action packed episode, we get to see how the walkers made their way to the farm from the City, initially they were following a helicopter (the same one Rick was following in the very first episode) we also got to see some of the group bite the dust. In fairness they didn't have many scenes or much dialogue, so they won't be missed much.
For the first time in a while Andrea didn't annoy me, she had me rooting for her, as she started taking out walkers defending the farm. Whilst Hershel unleashed his inner bad ass, that few suspected was hidden there. I feel a lot of sympathy for Hershel he did the right thing helping the group, and now because of them and their actions, he has lost his home.
Whilst I started to like Andrea, I wanted them to offer Sarah Wayne Callies as Lori up for Walker bait. That is one annoying woman whose behaviour is a total liability.
Overall the second season has been a bit of a slow burner. But it remained compelling viewing throughout. Some of my favourite scenes included the bonding of Daryl and Carol over the search for Sophia. And whilst some cast members will be missed, Scott Wilson is a very good addition to the cast as Hershal, as is Lauren Cohen and Emily Kinney as his daughters Maggie and Beth.
Bring on season 3.

The season finale, "Beside the Dying Fire," is a thrilling conclusion to the season's arcs. The farm is overrun by a horde of walkers in a spectacular and terrifying sequence, forcing the group to flee and scattering them in the chaos. The episode is a showcase for the series' ability to blend action with deep emotional moments, as the characters face loss, make sacrifices, and come together in the face of overwhelming odds.
The introduction of Michonne and the glimpse of the prison set the stage for the next season, promising new challenges and developments. "Beside the Dying Fire" effectively closes the chapter on the farm while opening new avenues for the story to explore, leaving the audience eagerly anticipating what comes next.

Why this strange summary? You'll find out later.
Last episode of Season 2, grand finale. Zombie apocalypse for the farm (its owner, that huge actor named Scott Wilson owns also the better and most solid acting work of the whole series, along Jeffrey DeMunn) and turning point for the characters' fate and the plot itself.
Very well directed, better written than other episodes of this season, and with a pretty trustworthy cast (along the two miracles noted above), this one represents a good finale. And, with an enigmatic new character presented in the end, we'll wait until October or so to know what's next.
Sadly, Frank Darabont never directed another episode but the Season 1 pilot. Pity, we want more of him, one of the finest movie directors alive in the whole world.
And... What happened to you, AMC? With this episode only running in the USA, you spoiled the entire script in your official blog! Are you crazy, people? America is only one of the 198 countries in this world, and in the most of them the finale was not aired when you published the spoilers! Dear readers: if you don't like to have the finale totally ruined, DON'T VISIT the official AMC blog until you see it.
Worth seeing: Yes, very much. But the blog administrators deserve something worst than walking un-death.

Rick Grimes:[Rick tells the group that whoever stays that it's not a democracy anymore]Maybe you people are better off without me. Go ahead. I say there's a place for us, but maybe... maybe it's just another pipe dream. Maybe... maybe I'm fooling myself again. Why don't you... Why don't you go and find out yourself? Send me a postcard. Go on, there's the door. You can do better? Let's see how far you get.
Rick Grimes:[the group remains silent]No takers? Fine. But get one thing straight... you're staying. This isn't a democracy anymore.
