    fran rules!!!!

i never got to see the nanny when it was on but now i watch with my mom on lifetime. my mom loves designing women but i think it's kinda boring. but the nanny rules. fran even wrote the stuff herself sometimes. fran is great in this movie :) so funny. lots of great lines 2. the other actors are good 2. i'm not overweight but my best friend is kind of chubby and this movie meant a lot to her. she says there's not much girls like her on tv and stuff and i agree. half the girls in my school barely eat. it sucks. i love chips and salsa. but movies like this can change things slowly. thanks to abc family for making movies with a message!!!!! fran 4eva!!!! we're all beautiful girls!!! later.

    Excellent Movie!!

I was fortunate enough to catch this movie while flipping channels out of boredom one night.

I think it displays a message which is fairly important: You don't have to be a size-2 blonde-haired, blue-eyed supermodel with big "tata's" (as Becca so nicely put it *lol*) to be considered beautiful.

I myself would never categorize myself as "hot", or "gorgeous", or "sexy", even tho' I know a few guys that would. This movie made me believe that it doesn't matter what other people think about the way I look (even tho' I've been telling myself that for years *hehe*).The only thing that matters is how YOU view yourself.

And don't think "hot" guys only go for ONE type of girl...I know a few gorgeous guys that have wanted to date me...but I had to turn 'em down, 'cause I had someone already! But anyways...the guys that a size-2 girl would consider "sexy" or "gorgeous" don't always go for the size-2 girls...guys like a bit of meat on their women! We're more fun to hug *hehe*. Besides, would you rather snuggle a tree branch or a pillow full of soft, downy feathers? ;-) Becca sets an incredible example that bigger really IS beautiful! POWER TO THE PEOPLE!! =D

    What a gem!

This little movie is so cute and studded with some up and coming stars. The film is about a not so skinny, not so pretty girl who posesses inward beauty and decides to enter a beauty pageant. The story is fun, well thought out and has a great meaning. I definetly reccomend this to any teenager girl struggling with her self image!

Beautiful Girl changed the way i feel!

Even though "Beautiful Girl" is only a movie, after watching it once, it was like i had to watch it again! There are many reasons why I like it so much. I feel that Marissa Jaret Winokur was absolutely PERFECT for the part of Becca! She brought such character to the film. When you think of beauty pagents you think of the stereo-typical skinny girls w/ pretty looks. Becca took the risk of being humiliated and proved that you don't have to be 100lbs. and be "pretty" to be beautiful. This movie has changed the way I look at people life in general. It has showed me that I can do anything that I want whether people agree with what I do or not! I think that "Beautiful Girl" is the perfect movie for teen girls, like myself, to watch. There's just something about it...it's unexplainable!

My daughter loves this movie since she was born in 2005
