In the spoof of thePsycho (1960) shower scene, Bugs pours a grey can of black Hershey's chocolate syrup down the shower drain while the tune of "The Murder" is heard (with a little bit of the Merry-Go-Round Broke Down), a reference to the fact that SirAlfred Hitchcock used Bosco's chocolate syrup in the original scene to better simulate blood in black and white. Bosko was the first ever Looney Tunes character.
Steve Martin is featured in this film and there's a scene showing a Dalek (fromDoctor Who (1963) as one of the aliens used chasing Bugs and Daffy. Martin himself was often rumored to be a fan of the 'Doctor Who' series, but in a 2013 magazine interview, he absolutely denied the rumour (and even stated that he doesn't even have any knowledge of the franchise). He was quoted of saying "That's one of those internet things. It's on some website that collects data on celebrities, it's just one of those things someone posted that's completely in error. I don't know. What is Doctor Who? I don't know a thing about it".
Brendan Fraser did such a good job doing an impersonation of Taz that he was allowed to do the voice instead of Taz's current voice actorJim Cummings.
The financial failure of this film discouraged Warner Bros. from releasing the newer Looney Tunes shorts that Warner Bros. Animation completed.
During filming,Brendan Fraser was completely terrified at having to hitBill Goldberg; Goldberg constantly told him to go ahead and do it, telling him, "It's what I do for a living."
Matthew Lillard: In the commissary scene, talking to the animated Scooby Doo and Shaggy about his performance inScooby-Doo (2002).
Jeff Gordon: In Las Vegas - Yosemite Sam's men steal his car (a Chevrolet Monte Carlo). That same year, Hendrick Motorsports had special paint schemes to promote the film. Gordon was previously going to appear in a "Race Jam" film, but it was cancelled.
