Julian Maroun is an AACTA nominated filmmaker and actor, and co-founder of The MadCollab a Sydney based creative studio he runs alongside his sister and producing partner,Daniela Maroun. Their most recent film, Dependent, won the inaugural Diversity & InclusionAward at CinefestOZ and the Panavision $25K Filmmaker Award at the Lebanese FilmFestival, and is now nominated for Best Short Film at the 2026 AACTA Awards.
Julian's recent screen credits include The Correspondent (2025), in which he stars oppositeRichard Roxburgh under the direction of Kriv Stenders released in cinemas nationwide, aswell as Ladies in Black (ABC, 2024) directed by Gracie Otto, Total Control (ABC), theAACTA-nominated comedy Aftertaste (ABC), Mr Inbetween (Foxtel), Fighting Season(Foxtel/Sky UK), and the Logie Award winning Romper Stomper (Stan). He continues toestablish himself as a distinctive creative force, bringing emotional depth and livedauthenticity to every project he undertakes.
