  • Chief operating officer and a co-owner of Village Rathskeller, Inc., acorporation which owned the Village Gate, a nightclub at the corner ofBleeker and Thompson in Greenwich Village, New York. It operated fromthe late 1950s until 1995 and featured such greats as John Coltrane,Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, and Dizzy Gillespie. The Village Gatewas a stop on the Greenwich Village Walking Tour, in part becauseBob Dylan wrote "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" in September 1962 in thebasement there.
