Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Ric Burns was the son of a socialanthropologist. He studied English literature at Columbia University inNew York City and Cambridge University in England before working withhis brother,Ken Burns, onアメリカ南北戦争 (1990). Hisproduction company, "Steeplechase Films", is located on Manhattan'supper west side. Currently, he is in post-production on twobiographical documentaries onAndy WarholandEugene O'Neill.
