At the start of today's PlayStation Showcase, Sony unveiled a new heist game entitled Fairgame$, the first title coming out of Jade Raymond's Haven Studios.
We didn't see anything in the way of actual gameplay from the Fairgame$ trailer, but according to apost on the PlayStation blog, it's a competitive heist game about robbing the ultra-rich. And it the trailer is any indication, there will be a lot of grappling hooks and breaking into giant vaults and mansions involved. It seems to include teams competing against one another to rob absurdly loaded mansions, with a pretty hefty dose of Payday vibes.
Haven wasfirst announced back in 2021 as a new Montreal-based studio intended to "create worlds where players can escape, have fun, express themselves, and find community." Raymond founded it on the heels of her departure from Google after her Stadia-focused studio there was shut down. Previously, Raymond has been known for her work on the Assassin's Creed franchise.
Later, Sonyacquired Haven entirely, and PlayStation 4 and 5 lead system architect Mark Cernybegan working closely with the studio on research and development.
Fairgame$ is planned for launch on PC and PS5 at an unannounced date. In the meantime, check out ourfull recap of all the announcements from the PlayStation Showcase.
