Splatoon 2 Octoling Amiibo 3-Pack Gets a Release Date

The 3-Pack of the Splatoon 2 Octoling Amiibo officially has a release date.

Announced by Nintendo of America onTwitter, the bundle is coming December 7. It comes with an Octoling Boy, an Octoling Girl and an Octopus Amiibo. The 3-pack costs $35 US.

Interestingly,Nintendo had previously announced a release date of November 9 for the 3-Pack in Japan and Europe, so the US will have to wait just a bit longer for these figures.

TheBest Buy page for the 3-pack says the Amiibo will net gamers "cool in-game extras," though specific functionality has not yet been revealed. Previous Splatoon 2 Amiibo have unlocked special gear and abilities.

These Amiibo wereoriginally revealed during E3 alongside the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC. At this time, Nintendo also announced that Splatoon 2 updates wouldn't end in July as it had previously planned. Instead, Nintendo will continue to release free updates to Splatoon 2's weapons, stages, and gear through the end of the year.
