Being the Pokémon of the Day guy, my responsibility is just as much to inform as it is to entertain. And on my way in to work today, I was thinking (as I always do on my way in to work -- might I suggest you try it as well?) about how I could enrich the lives of the Pokémon of the Day readers. I asked myself, "What can I tell the Pok¿maniacs that will make their day that much better?"

Now, in this particular instance, I was drawing an utter blank. I know that you all have chosen me to be your Pokémon of the Day Guy, but I have to be honest with you -- I'm not exactly the smartest Pokémon of the Day Guy in the world. And on this particular day, I was plumb out of thoughts.

So I turned on the radio, which is naturally tuned in toRadio DIsney as always -- what kind of a Pokémon of the Day Guy would I be if I listened to anything else? Thinking aloud, I said toRadio DIsney, "Help me to help the Pokémon fans! Help me to help them. Help me to help..."

And suddenly, it hit me. I know what it is that all of the Pok¿maniacs would die if they didn't know, even if they don't know that they don't know it! And I've got to spread the word, with the fastness!

So here's the good news: If you hadn't heard, Jonathan Lipnicki (star of Jerry Maguire and TV's The Jeff Foxworthy Show) has a brand new movie coming out! It's all about vampires, and it's calledThe Little Vampire. In the movie, Jonathan plays little Tony Thompson, a boy who's family has just moved into town. Boy, if you've ever been in that position yourself, you know it -- being the new kid is lonely! But there's at least one boy who's willing to be Jonathan's buddy -- and it's a vampire!

The Little Vampire comes out this Friday, and I hope you're all as excited as me! Let the countdown begin!
