On July 14, 2025, Icelandair and Southwest Airlines introduced connecting services through Orlando (MCO), Pittsburgh (PIT), and Raleigh-Durham (RDU). These three new cities complement the existing partnership, which enables seamless connections through Baltimore (BWI), Nashville (BNA), and Denver (DEN).
Our collaboration has already opened exciting new opportunities for customers of both airlines. Travelers can now journey through six US gateways to Iceland and Europe, while enjoying access to Southwest's comprehensive network from Iceland.

On January 15, 2025, we formalized our strategic agreement with Southwest Airlines, following the announcement of our partnership in September 2024.
From February 13, 2025, customers can connect between Icelandair’s and Southwest’s networks on one ticket, through Baltimore. This summer, Nashville and Denver will be added as connecting points between the two networks. Read more in ourNewsroom, and stay tuned for more updates.

We’re delighted to announce a new partnership between Icelandair andSouthwest Airlines, which will bring new connections and easier access to exciting destinations.
Icelandair and Southwest Airlines have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to initiate a bilateral partnership in 2025. The partnership willallow customers to easily connect between the two airlines’ networks. Icelandair will become Southwest’s initial airline partner.
The initial North American gateway between Southwest Airlines and Icelandair will beBaltimore (BWI), with other destinations to follow. From these gateways, Icelandair customers will have the opportunity to connect to numerous Southwest destinations.
Southwest customers will benefit from connections to Icelandair’sextensive network, which covers five airports in Iceland, four in Greenland, and34 destinations in Europe.
Our European network reaches superstar capitals likeParis,London, andAmsterdam; Nordic hotspots such asCopenhagen,Stockholm, andOslo; and year-round favorites includingRome,Lisbon,Barcelona, andPrague.
