The wait is finally nearing an end for those of us in the US who have been waiting on the OnePlus 15. After being caught in the aftermath of the recent US government shutdown, the device has received regulatory clearance to enter the American market.
The OnePlus 15 launched earlier this month, but US sales never started. OnePlus confirmed at the time that the issue was the lack of approval from the FCC—one of many government agencies that was stalled due to the government shutdown. The shutdown ended a couple of weeks ago, and now there’s some good news.

The OnePlus 15's battery life hooked me, but it's not what kept me
OnePlus is back again with a new phone—this time, the third device launch in 2025. With a massive 7,300mAh battery, a triple 50MP camera array (with 4K 120FPS and Dolby Vision recording), and gaming capabilities never before seen on a phone, here’s why I think the OnePlus 15 is one of the best Android phones of the year.
On November 25, the FCC granted a certificate for a OnePlus phone with the identifier CPH2749. It was believed to be the US model of the OnePlus 15, and the company has since confirmed the good news toAndroid Authority:
"The OnePlus 15 has received FCC certification in the United States. More information about when the device will be available for purchase in the U.S. will be shared very soon."
While the FCC approval removes a huge roadblock, we still don’t have an official release date. However, with the certification secured, the official launch announcement will likely come within the next week or so.
The OnePlus 15 is a much-needed contender in a market dominated by Google and Samsung. Wereviewed the phone earlier this week, and we were blown away by the performance, especially battery life. When the OnePlus 15 does finally launch in the US, it will cost $899.
