It seems like streaming services are always raising their prices, so I'm thankful for the Black Friday sales that let me grab some genuinely good entertainment deals. If you're looking to enjoy some movies and shows this holiday season and into 2026, these are the discounts I think you should check out.

HBO Max

Yes, $10.99/month

HBO Max is a subscription-based streaming service offering content from HBO, Warner Bros., DC, and more. In 2025, the service re-branded itself as HBO Max after having previously cut "HBO" from its name.

Price
Starting at $10.99/month or $109.99/year

HBO is a prestige name in television, and the company's streaming service certainly has a lot to offer. This year saw the second season of much-loved shows likeThe Last of Us andPeacemaker, hilarious new comedies likeI Love LA andThe Chair Company, and the spine-chillingIt: Welcome to Derry. That's on top of the back catalog featuringGame of Thrones,Mare of Easttown, andEuphoria, pluseverything coming to HBO Max in December.

You can get 12 months of HBO Max for $2.99/month, down from $10.99. This is only for the ad-supported plan, but you may feel those savings are worth the "about six minutes of ads per hour" (according to the streamer). If you stick with it for the entire year, you're saving $96 over the full price.

Disney+ and Hulu

$4.99/month for 12 months

Yes, the Disney Basic plan

Family favorites, old classics, and exciting new TV all in one place.

Price
Starting at $10/month

Two streaming services for $4.99/month? It's hard to argue with that. Until December 1, you can get the Disney+ and Hulu bundle for this discounted price, down from the usual $12.99/month. That represents savings of $96 for the year, though the monthly subscription means you can cancel at any point. The only downside is that this is the ad-supported bundle.

Once you're signed up, you'll have immediate access toamazing shows likeA Thousand Blows,The Bear, andAndor, and movies likeThe Fantastic Four: First Steps,Elio, andPredator: Killer of Killers. That's not to mention upcoming treats like the second season ofPercy Jackson and the Olympians and Taylor Swift's six-part docuseries and final show from the Eras tour.

Apple TV

$5.99/month for 6 months

$5.99$12.99 Save $7

Apple TV is the only place to stream great series likeSeverance,Ted Lasso, andThe Morning Show.

Apple TV recently dropped the "+" from its name, but it's still the same great streaming service that hosts series likeSilo,Slow Horses,Severance,Shrinking, and others that don't begin with the letter "S". Due to the focus on original productions only, Apple TV's catalog isn't as broad as Netflix or Prime Video, but it'sarguably far better than other streaming services.

Now, you can sign up for a six-month subscription for $5.99/month instead of the regular $12.99/month. Apple TV thankfully only has one tier, which grants you access to every show and movie ad-free, along with functionality like offline viewing and subscription sharing.

Paramount+

$2.99/month for 2 months

If you enjoy CBS offerings, you'll want to subscribe to Paramount+. You get access to hit shows likeStar Trek andYellowstone, as well as a variety of SHOWTIME content.

Paramount+ is raising its prices next year, so now is the best time to try out the service. Both the Essential and Premium plans are discounted to $2.99/month for two months, down from $7.99 and $12.99, respectively. Naturally, the Premium plan is better; it's ad-free and provides features like offline viewing and 4K quality. Since the costs of the two tiers are the same for Black Friday, I recommend you go for Premium—just remember to downgrade or cancel if you don't need it after two months.

Paramount+ is home toMayor of Kingstown,1923,Landman,Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and much more, so there is plenty to keep you busy. You're unlikely to get through everything you want to see before the subscription ticks back to the full price, but you can certainly try!

It's not just streaming services that are discounted. Many retailers are serving up some quality savings, so check out what's on offer and get your shopping done early.
