Efficiency Study

Citywide Efficiency Study

Creating an Efficient, Transparent Municipal Government While Eliminating Waste and Fraud

In late 2024, the City conducted a comprehensive citywide efficiency study supported by Ernst & Young, LLP (EY), a globally recognized professional services network. This in-depth review included a series of interviews, surveys, data analysis and benchmarking against peer cities. As a result, it identified key areas for efficiencies and organizational improvement. The findings of this assessment are guiding my administration and key leaders in making strategic decisions and developing a roadmap to address potential challenges. This roadmap focuses on enhancing the city's overall efficiency, effectiveness, and the quality of services provided to residents.

"When I took office as your mayor, I made a commitment to transparency, accountability, and rooting out corruption and waste. These audits clearly demonstrate my administration's dedication to fulfilling that promise and building a government that earns your trust."

- Mayor John Whitmire -
