Give securities from your brokerage account

1. Please complete theSecurities Transfer Request form and send it to your broker or financial adviser. By listing “Hoover Institution” under “Gift Designation”, you will ensure that 100% of your gift goes to support Hoover.

2. Please also send a copy of the completed form to Stanford Gift Securities at stockgifts@stanford.edu, fax to (650) 721-2417

Make a gift by wire transfer

1. Complete theWire Transfer Request form and send it to your banker or financial adviser.

2. Email a copy of the completed form to Stanford Development Services and Cash Management atwire_transfers@lists.stanford.edu. Please be sure to indicate in your letter that your gift should be used to support the Hoover Institution. 

IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution

Your IRA administrator must make the distribution directly to the charity, or you may write a check payable to the charity from your IRA checkbook. A sample letter of instruction to your IRA administrator requesting a distributioncan be found here. When you indicate that your distribution should be used to support the “Hoover Institution”, 100% of your gift will go to support Hoover.
