Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards: The Winners

UPDATED: "Hunger Games," "Frozen," Robert Downey Jr. and Jennifer Lawrence take home blimps.

Kids' Choice Awards 2014 Winners Announced

Host Mark Wahlberg finally got slimed after his own children helpedKevin Hart pull a prank on the actor.

Who took home a blimp and who got covered in slime at the Kids’ Choice Awards?

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire andFrozen took home top movie honors, whileJennifer Lawrencewon favorite movie actress (she did not attend) andAdam Sandlerappeared in person to collect favorite movie actor.

In his opening comments Saturday, hostMark Wahlberg insisted that he would be the only one in the building not to be slimed — claiming he was too smart and too fast for such a thing.

For most of the show — which saw stars such asRobert Downey Jr. andKristen Bell accept awards in person — Wahlberg kept his vow. With help from Optimus Prime, he fought off attempts by hisTransformers: Age of Extinctionco-stars Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltzto hit him with goo. 

But favorite funny star winner Kevin Hartteamed up with Wahlberg’s own children to finally do the star in — with a knock-knock joke featuring a punchline that ended with the actor covered in slime. Afterward, Wahlberg picked up Hart, covering the comedian in slime.

Earlier, nomineePharrell Williamsditched his hat in favor of a SpongeBob SquarePants onsie to present an award. And later, accepting favorite male buttkicker, Downey said “this is the highest honor yet bestowed upon me.” He added: “Life had kicked my proverbial butt … until one day I decided to start kicking back.”

The 27th annual fan-voted event aired live on Nickelodeon. (It airs on a delay for the West Coast from 8-9:30 p.m. PT.)
