‘Agents of SHIELD’ Enlists Adrianne Palicki as Marvel Favorite (Exclusive)

Friday Night Lightsfavorite andcomic book fanAdrianne Palicki has been tapped to guest-star as Marvel superspy Bobbi Morse,The Hollywood Reporterhas learned.
Best known to comics fans as Mockingbird, Palicki’s character will appear in the fifth episode of the Marvel procedural with the potential to return; the episode will find her popping in perhaps not as an ally to Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team.
The arrival of Mockingbird was first teased in July at Comic-Con whenPatton Oswalt —who plays Billy Koenig and Sam Koenig — confirmed that Life Model Decoys exist in the SHIELD universe and suggested that Morse’s character could appear in season two (watch the video below).
Palicki joins a rapidly growing roster of guest stars heading toAgents of SHIELD‘s second run. She joinsKyle MacLachlan as Skye’s (Chloe Bennet) father;Lucy Lawless asSHIELDveteran Isabelle Hartly;Reed Diamond as Hydra villain Daniel Whitehall (aka Kraken);Nick Blood as a mercenary Coulson reaches out to for help;Henry Simmons as agent Alphonso “Mac” Mackenzie; andSimon Kassianidesas Bakshi.
For Palicki, the casting comes after she reteamed withFNLcreatorJason Katims on NBC’sAbout a Boy,playing a love interest forDavid Walton‘s Will. She will return to reprise the role in season two of the NBC comedy. Her credits also includeG.I. Joe: Retaliation, LegionandRobot Chicken. She’s repped by WME and Anonymous Content.
Agents of SHIELDmarks the actress’ latest foray into the comic book world. She famouslyplayed Wonder Woman for DC in NBC’sDavid E. Kelleypilot and Nadia in the WB pilotAquaman. She next stars oppositeKeanu Reeves in Summit’sJohn Wick, due in October, and indie filmBaby, Baby, Baby, and will reprise her role inG.I. Joe 3.
