Aug.1999ENIX CORPORATION is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's 1st section.
Nov.1999ENIX AMERICA INC. is established as a wholly owned subsidiary of ENIX CORPORATION.
Aug.2000SQUARE CO., LTD. is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's 1st section.
Nov.2001ENIX WEBSTAR NETWORK TECHNOLOGY (BEIJING) CO., LTD. (Beijing, China) is established jointly with Mauritius Webstar Inc.
May.2002SQUARE CO., LTD. Enters the online game market with the release of its first MMORPG "FINAL FANTASY XI."
Apr. 2003SQUARE CO., LTD. merges with ENIX CORPORATION, and the new Company is subsequently renamed SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD.

Oct. 2003The Company makes cooperation agreement with Intel Corporation to improve gaming experiences on PCs and mobile devices.

May 2006The Company establishes SG Lab Inc., a joint venture between the Company and GAKKEN, and enters the serious game business.

Nov.2008SQUARE ENIX, INC. annouces a strategic partnership with GAS POWERED GAMES in the development and publishment of SUPREME COMMANDER® 2, a real-time strategy game targeted North American and European market.

Sep.2010SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. announces a strategic alliance with SHANDA GAMES in online gaming businesses. The alliance starts with an exclusive license of FINAL FANTASY® XIV in mainland China.
Mar. 2011hippos lab Co., Ltd. is launched as a wholly-owned subsidiary, providing high-quality original content mainly for smartphones.
Sep. 2012Square Enix India Pvt. Ltd. established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company.
