Private First ClassSullivan is aUNSC Marine from Third Squad, First Platoon, Kilo Company ofE2-BAG/1/7.^[1] He participated in theBattle of Mombasa under the command ofCorporalPalmer.

Battle of Mombasa[edit]

OnOctober 20, 2552, his squad was joined byJohn-117 while in theMtangwe Underpass. After evading a Covenant attack by escaping into a sewer tunnel, the Marines emerged near theKilindini Park Cultural Center. With the intent of reaching the Marines' command post atBeria Plaza, Sullivan and Palmer joined the Spartan commandeering anM12G1 LAAV, with Palmer manning theturret and Sullivan taking the passenger seat.^[2] On their way to the command post, anElite attempted to board the Warthog, stripping Sullivan of his MA5. Palmer fired the gauss cannon just above Sullivan's head, causing at least temporary damage to his ears.^[3] They eventually made it to the command post, where Sullivan proceeded to find amedic.^[4]
