Jeremiah Mendez was ahuman member of theUnited Nations military and a veteran of theRainforest Wars. He was the author ofA Soldier's Tale: Rainforest Wars, which was considered a military classic by the 26th century.^[1] He was most likely an ancestor ofFranklin Mendez, the veterandrill instructor of theSPARTAN-II andSPARTAN-III programs, who greatly admired the book.
