Japan is an islandnation ofEarth, located in thePacific Ocean off the coast of mainlandAsia. It was considered a part of Asia.[1]
History[edit]
In1597, a Japanesefleet of 133 was defeated by 13 ships commanded by AdmiralYi Sun-sin at theMyeongnyang Strait.[3]
Japan remained politically and culturally isolated for several centuries before going through a technological and economic renewal in the 1800s.[1]
DuringWorld War II,Isoroku Yamamoto crippled theUS Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor.[3] The war came to a close withhumanity's first use ofnuclear weapons atHiroshima andNagasaki.[4] The bomb at Hiroshima lefta domed structure still standing.[2]
Economy and society[edit]
Japan is crowded and economically volatile. It is, however, consequently well-endowed with scientists, economists, and global culturalism, making it technologically advanced as well. Japan has always held a great amount of sway in humanity's decision making process, and this did not change under theUNSC.[1]
