TheImpact Commando is a modified variant of theVK78 Commando used by theUNSCMarine Corps.[2][4]

The Impact variant of the VK78 Commando has increased damage and expanded magazine capacity from 20 to 40 rounds, though with reduced accuracy.[3] It has additional yellow coloration on certain components, including a yellow stripe across the heatshield and the forearm as well as the magazine.[5]

The Impact Commando was employed by UNSC forces during thecampaign onInstallation 07 in2559-2560.[2]

Halo Infinite[edit]
In campaign, the Impact Commando is alegendary weapon awarded to the player in theForward Operating Base progression system upon reaching 2,700Valor. The weapon can be acquired at any Forward Operating Base. It has an increased magazine size from 20 to 40, with each round dealing more damage (killing a fully-shielded Spartan with 10 rounds instead of 15 rounds), though it has reduced accuracy via greater bloom. The optic magnification is also reduced from 2× to 1.4×.[2]
In multiplayer, when players pick up or spawn with the Impact Commando, theircustomization options are automatically applied to the weapon model, and the unique appearance of the Impact Commando is lost.
