XiaomiRedmiAndroidAnnouncement

Xiaomi brought over its Redmi Note 12 series to Europe and we’ve already covered theNote 12 Pro+,Note 12 Pro andNote 12 in aseparate post while this one focuses on theRedmi Note 12 4G.

So what’s different on the 4G version compared to its 5G counterpart? Several things starting with the design. Redmi Note 12 4G brings a flat back compared to the curved one on its 5G sibling. The 4G model still brings a 6.67-inch AMOLED display up front with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The chipset department is also different here – Note 12 4G is equipped with the new Snapdragon 685 SoC with 4/6/8GB RAM and 64/128 GB storage.

There’s a 50MP main cam on the 4G model too which should produce marginally better shots than the Note 12’s 48MP shooter. The remaining 8MP ultrawide module and a 2MP depth helper are identical. Redmi Note 12 4G still boots MIUI 14 based on Android 13 and packs the same 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging as its 5G sibling.

Redmi Note 12 4G comes in Onyx Gray, Mint Green, Ice Blue colors. Pricing for the 4/64GB trim starts at €199.

then i'd rather have 665 than 680. usually phones powered with sd665 are cheaper. not like sd680 that are used in high priced midrange phones, not including redmi 10c though

6nm is the main upgrade over 11nm 665, also slightly higher clock speeds, GPU and 4G modem. The 680’s downgraded ISP is the main reason why some people have negative opinion about it.
